Mermaid Garden Cafe, no mermaid, no garden, a organic healthy place for yuppies

Here is my 2 cents on the food with chit chat. Lets start with the food.

Organic eggs are highlighted here. I had a dish that had chorizo, kale and grilled eggs. I never heard of grilled eggs. I like trying new stuff.  I was disappointed over all. The eggs were basically cooked sunny side up to a medium. A bit runny.. That's ok I like eggs over easy. The eggs did taste different. If you ever had eggs straight from the chicken from the nest, That the best way to describe them. The kale was saute like you would do spinach.  I guess a healthy thing for a breakfast. Now the chorizo. I am sorry that was just plain sucky. It was not spicy as warned nor no flavor. Being from California (and I have been in Brasil) I have had real chorizo from Mexico & Portugal type. It was tough and not enough fat. Fat is where the flavor is at. The coffee was good but not outstanding.  They offered more raw sugar than the white refined stuff.  Also there was no salt and pepper shakers. They had little containers with lids & a baby size spoon.  I was also given small slices of toasted bread with a guava spread and butter to add. They tasted like it had a bit of garlic. That's ok by me. Or maybe it was my pallette today. Anyway I liked it.

They had no mermaids or garden to be seen. There were shelves of tea pots and tea cups galore. It was hard to find. NO sign except on the main sign of the complex. This is called The Atrium. It is basically a office complex. The Mermaid is located at the end of the complex next to a US Post Office. The personnel was very nice & did a great job.
So in conclusion if you are watching closely on the food you are eating this is good for you. But for just regular folks I would pass on by. Sorry
