Cristof's on McGregor, McGregor Blvd., Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
This is a wonderful ole skool Florida house, posing as a great Italian restaurant. I have had this bookmarked for 7 years. They do not advertise. It all word of mouth.
I did not remember why I have not been here sooner. AAhhh when I got the menu my mind was jostle.
I am a cheap skate. This is a pricey place. Lasagna is $19.00 on the dinner menu.
I was on the lunch menu. I tried a cup of bean soup. $6 bucks. To my surprised it tasted exactly like mine. My entree was jumbo shrimp in a white wine garlic sauce with greens as a side. I got four jumbo shrimp ( what a oxymoron) $14.00 It tasted very good, but I thought the shrimp was a bit over cooked.
I also went for a dessert, Tarisuma , It was good. But for $6 it was small.
The service was excellent. Over all the food was very good. You get what you pay for.
But it was pricey. There are other italian joints with just as good food, bigger portions and cheaper prices.
I am guessing you pay for the ambiance.
A tip. This is located on the corner of McGregor/Royal Palm Square Blvd. You can make a left turn off of Royal Palm into the large parking lot...If you go to the traffic light you can wait up to 3 minutes then in 15 yards there is the entrance and you are waiting again
There is a large outdoor table area, seating on the porch too.
So if you need great ambiance, good food, good serviceand do not mind paying for it come here.

Thai Nawa
Thai Nawa, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
This is my favorite place for comfort food, Thai style.
The food is always fresh, looks great & taste great. One of the few joints where you can get it so hot it makes your eyeballs sweat.
I went for the national dish of Pad Thai. Everyone fav. You cannot go wrong. The spicier the better for this entree. Plus some fried dumplings for a appetizer.
Service is always stellar.
A tip on parking. There is one handicapped stall plus other spaces if you use the back door. Per fire regulations this door is always unlocked. Parking can be difficult the food is that good.

Hana Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Lounge
Hana Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Lounge, Hancock Bridge Parkway, W., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I was here for lunch. They have what is called Bento box meals. At only 10 bucks a fair deal and wonderful food.
My box was beef teriyaki. You got soup, rice, sushi and fried tofu. As a side I got avocado salad.
I must say the beef was very tender and cooked perfect. The other items were just as fabulous.
I also experimented with a japanese soda. I suggest you past on this. It was very good. But at $2.75 for 9 oz. Not worth your money.
The side salad was healthy and tasty.
Service was excellent. Though the owners, High School daughter ,was doing time on school break. LOL.
So if in the mood for Japanese food give this place a try. Lots of parking.

Starbucks
Starbucks, Chesters St., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Alright Stars is good for service and for other drinks. BUT it is the ABSOLUTE WORST for just a plain cup of coffee.
I have been to 5 different Starbucks using a card for each . I am glad I never used my own money. BUT each place has the most horrible plain cuppa Joe with out exception. 7-11 or even *unkin is better.
Plus it is way over price.

Over all a grand experience.

Cheddars Scratch Kitchen
Cheddars Scratch Kitchen, University Plaza, Ft. Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on just the food.
I did not dine in. I just got 2 meals to go. I order fried chicken and the meat loaf.
First the chix. I was not very impress with the fried chix I got 2 fried chix breast. Though they tasted ok I hate the white meat... As was this the coating was fine but as ALL white meat it was too dried out... I did like the home style green beans. Mash potato were a bit lumpy so you know they made them did here. The gravy was made with bacon NOT pork sausage. So not very good as far as I am concern.
The meat loaf was interesting. It tasted good with bits of bell pepper inside. There was a 2 ounce container of a sweet/salty with onion sauce. I liked it. I got green beans & mash taters.
Over all good food. It was ready when I return to pick it up.

Connors Steak & Seafood
Connors Steak & Seafood, Gulf Center Drive, Ft. Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
WOW...OUTSTANDING....
The only thing I hate about this place is it is TOO far to drive from Cape Coral.
I was here for a self deserved birthday lunch...
I was served fresh hot bread with a wonderful side of garlic infused olive oil.
I got a medium rare, of course prime rib with a creamed spinach side.
Lets not forget my lobster bisque.
Service was as always top notched. And as a birthday gift...strawberry pound cake and ice cream.
You know this place is GRAND.... empty on my arrival full when I leave.
I HATE CHAINS EATERY...BUT...THIS IS MY ONE EXCEPTION
