Perkins

Perkins, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

I got a coupon for 20% off. So they got me to come in. It was Friday and not very crowded.
I ordered beef tips, medium rare of course, shrimp, spinach & green beans.

WOW this meal was great...Medium rare, fresh veggies and hot shrimp good cocktail sauce.
My server was excellent.
I was impress. Then I got bake goods to go. Chocolate eclair, blueberry muffin & banana crunch muffin.

This was a wonderful meal and visit. Simple and sweet!!!

Paradise Pizza

Paradise Pizza, Lafayette St., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

I was lazy so I got the meal delivered.
I got the broasted chicken. Which is really just fried chicken. It comes with fries.
I do like this meal. For 9 bucks,It is pretty reasonable. It taste good too.
The only problem which is with me. I find it too salty. I find almost all process food TOO salty for me....I just limit my salt intake. You should try it.

The other great item is the stromboli. Unlike other pizza joints, which only have 3 items inside,
Paradise gives you 5 items inside plus the dipping sauce on the side.
You must try this.
Delivery was sooner than expected food was hot.

Red Lobster

Red Lobster, Cleveland Ave., Ft., Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

Well I had a $25 gift card and they had the Captain Platter on sale for $15 bucks.
Its all fried salty but tasty.
You get cod, shrimp, scallops, clam strips. Along with a salad. Tartar sauce & cocktail sauce was passable. A well drink for 5 bucks. A gin & tonic.
It was your typical chain restaurant entree. Service and my drink was fine.
A good meal for typical uneventful folks.
Since no money came out of My pocket...good over all.

Hungarian Kitchen

Hungarian Kitchen, Weavers Corner, N. Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is 2 cents on the food and chatter.

AAhh a gem of a place just open. Comfort food to the max.

You DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY.
This is like going to grandma or moms place.

ALL the food is made in house. Even the pasta.

At lunch you get a 4 course meal. Soup, salad, entree and dessert. $10.99 drink extra.
Each day the menu changes. So if you need it to go you need to call. (239-404-1646)

My meal was excellent. I got goulash , pasta with a fried delicate/tasty pork loin, cucumber salad and a Hungary crepe for dessert.

Eszter, was my server, chef and owner.
Unlike a corporate place they will customize to your taste buds or whim.
So if seeking something different but comforting YOU come here.

Java Dora

Jave Dora, SE 14th. Pl., Cape Coral, Fl.,

They DO NOT SELL DRINKS/FOOD OF ANY KIND.

Big Blue Brewing

Big Blue Brewing, SE 10th Pl., Cape Coral. Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

I came here because of a ad for Sunday brunch. WOW...I am glad I did.
No cook here but a Chef.
Kudos to my Server, Dave a great recommendation on my draft beer & service.

I order what I thought would be just a omelet and home fries.
But the Chef put some magic on it and upped bar.

The house fries were wonderful. Perfectly fried onions, potatoes, and the kicker sweet potatoes.
Not something I would order but works just right.
Then my ham, peppers & cheese omelet. It was just the correct amount of seasoning, ingredients and cooking.

A majority of folks in the Coma will not appreciate the style, alas this Chef knows how to make a french omelet.

FYI...To graduate as a Chef in France you must demonstrate that you know how to make a PERFECT French style omelet.

I hope this Chef stays around and folks come to educate and expand their taste buds.

Wingnuts Pub & Grub

Wingnuts Pub & Grub, Del Prado Blvd. Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

This time I was lazy and ordered home delivery thru yelp/grubhub. I got a chili dog w/cole slaw & wings and fries.  Ordering was easy though the full menu was not on yelp. Using paypal was good too. Delivering was quick and easy 30 minutes instead of the estimate 40-50 minute time spam. Plus having the option of using cash for the tip of driver. Kudos.

Now the rave/rant on the food.
The cole slaw was crunchy, tasty, not overly wet. My dog was a good size ,cooked fine with onion  as requested.
BUT ...The chili was HORRIBLE... I have had better can chili from *almart. It was not hot, no cumin, plain tomatoe sauce like it was from ketchup.

I am not a wing eater. But I tried the house specialty. WINGS with ranch dressing. I order 6 wings and a side. NO RANCH DRESSING. I thought a dressing was included with my order. I got warmed fries of sorts. But fried food tends to get soggy when it travels. My bad.

I thought I was getting 6 full size wings...I got 2/3 each from 3 chicken wings. All of the wing tips were missing...One portion of a body part does not make a full wing. I will say they were tasty & on the meaty side.

The menu here is too big. They need to concentrate on their core foods

Sweet Tomatoes

Sweet Tomatoes, Tamiami Trail, Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

This is for all you cheapskates veggies head. They serve nothing but vegetables or so called healthy stuff .

They give you small plates to fill up on the helpless plants treat. Then down the the road smaller soup bowls to torture you to eat the more hardy stuff. Plus continue to offer coupons to give the out, to stuff your face.... The food is not bad just cheap & filling.
In theory you can eat all u want but there have been buffets that kick you out for stuffing you tummy.

I must say it was empty at 11 AM on a Sunday....but by high noon filled with blue & gray hair old retiress, lots of rug ratz, and young family scurrying around. They were filling the tray and stuffing their mouths off of the plates from the soup & pizza counters. They were ravenous coyotes getting the belly filled. Glad I was out of here. I was using gift card so no money of mind going here. A drink $3 bucks...lunch meal $10.....bucks
I will be back just to used my gift card.
