Seven Oaks Wood Fire Cuisine, Miramar St, Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.. I am a frugal person and this has been booked mark for a long time. This time I threw caution to the wind and got the most pricey item... 8 oz. filet mignon, steamed carrot/ broccolini, smash potato with garlic and chives. $30 bucks.
( see my Pic )
Broccolini is a cousin of broccoli. Same flavor just not as intense. Carrots just young carrots. Smash potatoes just some cheese fresh garlic and chives These items were good but not outstanding. I order my beef medium rare as always. It was seasoned fine, a crust on the outside . But over cooked. It was medium. Medium rare should be a bit bloody and a cool center. This was not. I waited 20 minutes for my meal. I did not want to wait any longer for another steak.
For this much money I should get at lease fresh bread or breadsticks. I should not have to pay 8-15 dollars on a appetizers. I have been to other eatery's which cost much less and got free bread or rolls. Why has this tradition gone away??? At these prices they should do it. This is a nuvo artsy fartsy type of cuisine.. Which is fine if you prefer to be pretences instead of down to earth and real.
I will come back and try the pizza. From what I understand they do not have take out. What kind of place that does NOT have take out pizza??!!!
Note: I did not really need or want it it. BUT NO salt or pepper on my table???
This was a glorious California type day. 72 degrees Sunny NO humidity Wonderful. 115 PM.
I sat outside on the patio. The staff I must say was OUTSTANDING. Everyone seemed to come by and make inquiries of my situation.
So in conclusion I would rather have just plain great food at a cheaper price and forego the wack a doo of over customer service.

Sonic Drive In, Typical fast food
Sonic Drive Thru, Pine Island Rd, North Fort Myers, Here is my 2 cents and some chit chat. It was President day . So $1 for chili dog or hotdog. Good deal, BUT WOW these dogs are terribly salty
. Tasted ok but almost like licking a salt block. You need water after every dog.
I did it the lazy way, floridian way too fat too stupid and stayed in my car and went thru the drive thru. I never use the drive thru it is always too slow.
Ah in this case with 3 cars ahead of me it was pretty quick. Folks nice efficient. Thumbs up.

Mcdonald's, typical fast food
McDees on Del Prado, S, Near the super walmart, Cape Coral, Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chi chat. I visit fast food joints maybe once a year. And only when there is a special deal or coupons involved. This case buy one get second for a penny.
I splurge this time. I got a vanilla shake. It has to be 10 years since I got a shake here. I was delighted. They had added malt to the mixed. It was very good.
Now my egg muffin.
Yep it was ok but it was cold. You pay for the speed. These are 3.49 each. If I bought 3 of these, I could get the ingredients and do it at home.
Service was fine folks did good job.

RANT, help should begin at home
Why, Why Why... Here in Cape Coral, Fl. we had a small disaster of a tornado destroying a few hundred homes. YET our government refused to help. The help we got was a loan situation. Which means we have to pay it back. This republican control institution GIVES AWAY FREE MONEY to multi billion Corporations, foreign countries ( Israel to name one) and wealthy individual who do not pay TAXES. Yet the middle class is expected, US, WE THE PEOPLE, not to share in this. It is OUR MONEY. Why must we only get loans ??
I hope one day we can come together as the Human race,World Citizens of sorts, and live in harmony.
I will be dead before that happens
So in the mean time lets take care of ourselves, our neighbors and friends. Vote with your heart and wallet first. Let keep OUR MONEY HERE. For us!!

Anthony on the Blvd, pass on omelettes
Anthony on the Blvd, Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. Breakfast buffet with omelette. Lets start with the positive : lots of bacon, pork links, grits, country potato, corn beef hash, pancakes, gravy and biscuits. Plenty of refill on coffee. Service good stuff.
Now the minus. I would think after all these years they would know how to make a omelette. A Denver omelette. Light and fluffy with all the ingredient in side. WRONG... That is not what I got and I was very patient in waiting. It was basically a smash scramble egg concoction.
Why he kept smashing down the eggs with a spatula is beyond me. I know he needs to be quick except there was only me in line. As a omelette goes this just sucks. Plus from watching others they seem to do it on a regular basis. So if you need scramble eggs or over medium ok. BUT PASS on omelette.
Note. PARKING.. that is sorta a free for all. 1 handicapped spot and lot is sorta marked. But is partially smooth and partially uneven unpaved. Lots of room.

Philly Junction, ok philly cheese steak
Philly Junction, 4200 Summerlin Rd., ( between McDee's and MaMa Earth), Ft. Myers,FL. Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. I went here for a western omelette and to take home a cheese steak sandwich.
I really like the omelette. plenty of ingredients and fluffy Also had home fries very tasty.I got a cheesesteak to go. When I opened the bag I was a bit disappointed. I did not see or taste so much of the onions/peppers. The cheese had been melted away. Which was sorta what I expected. I measured the sandwich. Diameter about 3 inches. The length 11 inches. It tasted fine. Not outstanding. Value wise...Nope... I was charged extra for peppers and such. Comparing other places price per price this is not a great bargain.
BUT the omelette and the cheesesteak did taste good. I would recommend it but not high on my list.
The service was fast and did a great job.

Stromboli, What is it???
Stromboli was created in 1950 at Romano Pizzeria Essington, PA.outside the Philadelphia Airport.
The original is made with boiled ham, corcanoe, ham cap, American cheese, and roasted bell pepper then baked inside an italian bread.
Calzone in NOT like Stromboli.
The name comes from a bad movie in that year. The maker was trying to compete with the Hoagie sandwiches of that time. It was spread far and wide due to pilots and stewardess at that time.
