Table & Tap

Table & Tap, Crescent Loop, Babcock Ranch (Punta Gorda), Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

I have been wanting to go here for a while. I finally had a chance.

I ordered a beautiful side salad. My entree was Wild Boar Rack, 12 oz. $28 with mash potatoes and veggies.
This was pricy but I never had it before. I was surprise that they ask me how did I want it cooked. Medium rare of course...Anybody who orders above medium is a moron.
It arrived very fast...It was fabulous!! A bit hard to cut but is tasted so good. It came with a bone. I was unsure whether I should start with bone or sliced it. I sliced then kn-awl on the bone. At 28 bucks I want my money worth the hell with manners...In Japan when you eat soup it is proper & expected to slurp the soup..
My veggie, grilled onions with yellow squash and deli-sh yukon gold mash potatoe.

I also sprang for a dessert. My server, Amy (did a outstanding job) read off the list and I just chose the last one. I never heard of it. It was great looking and tasty. My shock was it was 12 bucks...WOW...

Overall this is a great place to go to. Good but expensive food along with nice views of the lake here. Oh yes when you drive here after crossing the quaint bridge, notice NO lines overhead.
ALL power, phone and cables are underground.
Nice place at nite, good for a date, though long 30-40 minutes drive from the Coma.

Citrola's Italian Grill & Pizzeria

Citrola's Italian Grill & Pizzeria, College Pkwy, Ft.Myers,FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Ahhh this is an ole fashion type of Italian eatery.

I got in house made bread with butter, free,as a precursor to my meal of lasagna.
This use to be the standard of ALL restaurant in days gone past.
I have had lasagna in three different places. All within the last 2 weeks.
And basically they really all tasted the same. (just like re fried beans in Mexican eateries).
The difference is the type of meat and noodle inside. So lasagna is like a pizza a personal choice.
I like this one the best. Well, balance enough garlic lots of flavor.

I also spurge and got a pepperoni/mushroom pie. It was a thin crust very good. BUT I thought they were very cheap in adding the mushroom. Not very many.

Service, by Margot was excellent. Staff in general were great.
Note: parking can be tight. The lot is small.

But worth the trip.

Everybody Brunch Place, N. Tamiami Trail, N. Ft. Myers,FL, Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

Well here is a local secret. A wonderful down to earth breakfast/lunch spot.

My meal. A western omelet with added cheese & jalapeno peppers. Hash browns and toast.
WOW what a surpized...My first bite is jalapeno peppers.I LOVED IT. Hash is cooked properly and Toast just right.
My food looked good it tasted good.
Looking inside the kitchen I see a constant flow of orders.  8 that I can count. Orders coming in going out.

I loved this place.
Service was quick.
You need to try this place for a American style meal.

Bert's Bar & Grill

Bert's Bar & Grill, Pine Island Rd., Matlacha, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.

A bit windy and the cool side. Great for Bert's. On the water with a nice view.
I got blacken mahi mahi, house made chips, hush puppies and cole slaw.

The cole slaw was creamy, chips hot and crispy and the hush puppies were hush puppies
BUT the blacken mahi not so good. It was not extra spicy the way I ask. NOR very dry as it should be. It was like they just dipped it in a sauce and tried to fry it without any success.

But it was a beautiful view with a blustery winds and a nice server.

So come for the view....AAAHHHH be aware parking can be difficult. Going to it and leaving the lot.

Nemo's Sports Cafe

Nemo's Sports Cafe, Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral, FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

I am going to start with chatter. It was a holiday my original planned eatery was closed. I just happen to see Nemo's driving by it.
So it was a bit cool so I sat outside. Big mistake. 1 there were smokers. 2 a crazy person was allowed to dance.
I was very concern that the bartender said this person was "harmless". Well the person left. I ordered my meal. That day special for 7 bucks or so, fish and chips.
For the price and size it was actually very good. Served with tartar sauce and malt vinegar a splendid meal.
Half way thorough my meal this 5150WI,(Calf. Police code for crazy person had return).
This nut had not bought anything. He was wearing earplugs sitting down getting up. Gyrating around.
This was suppose to be a family place. I would never have family with a wacko running near by.
Any place that allows this type of activity needs to be looked at hard.

Food was good ...Atmosphere was NOT.

Keke's Breakfast Cafe

Keke's Breakfast Cafe, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

First lets chat...Keke is another chain. Good & bad.  The good was they had 11 different types of waffles. The most of any that I have found in the area. The bad NO deviation of this list. I could not have my bacon inside my waffle.
The good being brand new in the area they have lots of staff. The bad they have lots of staff. Which some will be laid off after the new has worn off and snowbirds go away.

My meal. Waffle, crisp with bacon inside. Nope: cannot have bacon inside OR ON TOP OF THE WAFFLE!!!!!!! Aghainst  corporate policy.
I got my waffle it was NOT crisp...I told my server,Sandy, she apoligized and offered to have a new one made. I declined.
The waffle was good, big butter on the side and large portion of whipped cream, too.
I was going to ask about the syrup, but I am sure it was just corn syrup. Never the real maple stuff to pricey for the bottom line of corp.
The coffee was fine it was bottomless, the cup is just too small.

A manager came by, ask me about my meal, I told her. She offered a new one. Long story short, without me asking, I got a discount and a fruit dish to take home.
So thumbs up for customer service.

Note: they are next to Aldi...So be warned if you go on a Sunday the parking lot and the line to get in will be long.

Maria's Pizzeria & Restaurant

Maria's Pizzeria & Restaurant, SE 46th Ln., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cent on the food and chatter.

I went here for the Sizzle Week. I am glad I did.
For 16 bucks you get a soda, appetizer and entree. I chose the lasagna.

I drank raspberry lemonade. I got the house made wedding soup. Well balance and filled with meat.
Along with hot buttery garlic rolls to dip in a wonderful olive oil. Messy, but lip smacking good.
The main event was the lasagna. WOW... delightful...No need to add pepper flakes or salt. Just plain delirious tasty! The portion were bigger than most places I have been to. I needed a doggie bag to go.   As my server stated you never leave here hungry.

Roy my server was outstanding.

There is only 1 big hiccup. The parking lot. It only has 3 spaces and 1 handicapped. Difficult to park. So when busy you must park on the street. It seemed to be a safe neighborhood.
