Chinese Kitchen, Metro Parkway, FT. Myers,FL.,Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chatter. The food. Spare ribs and kung Bo beef extra spicy. Well folks if you are from Florida and have never had chinese food this is good enough for you. It will fill your belly and satisfy your taste buds. Though a bit pricey and NO tables...just take out..
If you have had good chinese...RUN FAST RUN FAR... This is bad.
The ribs had no flavor and were dry. I ask for extra spicy on the kung bo,( Pao) they failed.
The problem is you do not know how bad til you get home or wherever.
Though they are fast and nice, you would never find this place in Chinatown, in San Francisco,CA.,

Wicked Good Deli

Wicked Good Deli, Metro Parkway, FT. Myers,FL. Growling in my tummy 2 cents on the food and chit chat. The food. Wicked Good Steak Bomb, The good is... it taste great and folks greet you when you enter. It is a friendly atmosphere .  I  really liked it.
But... lets get real...it is a copy of a Philly cheese steak sandwich. If you are from The City ( San Francisco ) or from Philadelphia . You will know this. The large size is 18 inches long and 2 1/2 wide.( Originals are 4 inches wide.  yes I have measured them all ) It cost 9 bucks w/ a bag of chips.
Though it taste very similar, not quite as spicy You are paying for a lesser sandwich. Not so much in quality BUT in QUANTITY.. But that's what happens in SWFL.
So still chow them down, good but a clone.  3 forks ratings

Applebees

Applebees, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chatter.
First I wish to give thumbs up to my server, Shonda, and my chef/cook?... They both did an excellent job. They followed my instructions to a perfect letter. WOW!
Now the food.. I was feeling cheap and hungry for a burger. So for a special ,10 bucks... A nectar of the gods, beverage, Pepsi. a burger, medium rare. and fries. (Burgers , 4 ounces and smaller cannot be cooked, successfully, at medium rare.) But my cook here did a great job. My burger was sliced in half just right. I hate these designer buns, brioche . TOO much bread. I like and prefer old skool style buns. Another of my pet peeves are those hand grinder salt and pepper. Maybe for the salt. ( also ALL salt is sea salt!!!!!!!)
Over all the burger was fine... I do not see the need for a fancy up hamburger.

Taco Pancho

Taco Pancho, Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, FL., 2 cents on the food and chatter. Tuesday, taco day, .79 each I got 8. They are just a step above Taco Bell.. Salsa hot, NOPE, bland, though very fresh made for floridian, barely spicy.
Chatter...I miss the days of the original taco... a fresh corn tortilla , then deep fried and shaped into a taco. I hate these new commerical shaped ones. Shells are too thin and no flavor per se. Made for wimpy folks.
Service was good and fast.

IchiYummy, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat. All you can eat sushi ,teriyaki, hibachi, and sashimi  for 13 bucks at lunch time.
The Food. I must say the sushi was fantastic even for a carnivore. The noodle and shrimp dish was outstanding.
I loved the idea that portions are SMALL... That means you can be adventurous and try fresh variety of items. I tried a octopus sushi . I hated it. But I never have had octopus...never more. LOL
They give you a sheet , then you pick and choose whatever you want. Including dessert.
Service was outstanding. I was encourage to try as much as I could eat. I did.
This a great idea for americans. You eat as much as you can without wasting food.
Oh yes, there is no doggie bags...Plus if you do not finish the sushi that you order, they charge you a fee of 75 cents per piece. A good idea to stop waste.

Popeyes

Popeyes, Hancock Bridge Parkway, Cape Coral, FL. I was in the mood for fried chix and being lazy. So off to POPEYES. Of course someone is in the drive thru lane. As most floridians are lazy.
I got my order of spicy chix, red beans/ rice , and dirty rice. Oh for advertising they name it Cajun rice. BUT true foodies and true chefs it is DIRTY rice.
Got home dug into the food excellent.

KFC

KFC,Hancock Bridge , Cape Coral, FL.,My 2 cents on the food and chatter. Chit chat. I was feeling lazy, cheap and adventurous. I have been bombarded with the 5 buck meal. So since I never have had the pot pie I decided to give it a try .
Medium Pepsi, ( the true nectar of the goods ), no ice, a chocolate cookie and chicken pie. Plus be lazy like most Floridians. I took the drive thru... Gave my order , waited in line for only 5 minutes or less, swiped my card and home in 7 minutes or less.
Pepsi excellent, pie very good, large chunks of carrots , pieces of taters, chunks of white meat chicken. I am not a fan of white meat but it was fine. Nice gravy, but too wet as my wifey would state. Also a bit too salty for me. Not a big cookie but a decent cookie But hey 5 bucks to fill you up pretty good.
As I said serve was quick.
