Hibachi of Japan 3

Hibachi of Japan 3, Hancock Bridge Pkwy, N. Fort Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

This is a quaint number 3 Japanese eatery from a local Naples chain that's serves hibachi & sushi.
I got the steak bowl with udon noodles/veggies. The steak was served medium rare as I requested. The veggie was cooked  very soft. Along with  tasty though not over powering sauces. It was a wonderful meal. 10 bucks.
They also serve sushi and tempura. The place makes you feel at home.
Service is excellent.
So if in search of a quiet Japanese meal this is a place to go.

Maverick Grille

Maverick Grille,, Del Prado Blvd., S, Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents.
This is a different review.
Let's start with the good stuff and then chit chat about everything else.
All of the ingredients were fresh. I loved the plantains. The baklava was cheap 2 bucks.
The staff was outstanding. A very good location except for handicapped folks.

BUT what is this place. It appears to be be a mishmash of cuisines. What I am not sure.

They offer you protein, when is chicken and lettuce a protein together?
They offer black beans...Just black bean cooked in PLAIN water. Italian beans...what the heck is Italian beans. Over 50 years on this planet, I have NEVER heard of Italian beans. Yellow rice & brown rice.
They offer a wrap or a gyro...basically the same thing. A bowl or salad...Its the same type container.
Plus when you try to combine this stuff into a meal...unless you are a imaginary quick chef wizard .....It is just a bunch of stuff thrown together as if you are CLEANING out your fridge.
There is no spices or anything that makes this unique...If you like plain mediocre food ( like a majority of rednecks floridians) This is your *isney Land.
Otherwise stay home and clean that fridge.

6 dollars for a very small bowl.....9 dollars for a larger bowl.
$2.60 for drinks. ( be careful my plastic cup split in half and made a big mess on the floor)

My Sweet Art

My Sweet Art, Nicholas Parkway, Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food & chatter.

AAHHH finally a manly food at a french bistro.  Bacon, sausage and cheese quiche. ten bucks or so.
I have been waiting for them to bring this around. Hearty, filling and oh so tasty.
A man's meal. It was so good. Plus the all you drink coffee.
Service was outstanding....Now they are going to be open for dinner.

If you have not tried this place,You are missing a culinary delight.

Oh yes lets not forget the pastries to go.

Bubba Gump Shrimp

Bubba Gump Shrimp, Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, Ca, Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I got the "I am stuffed with shrimp, see pic" This was 20 bucks. It tasted ok but I did not like the texture of the cheese with the shrimp. Cheese with seafood is not a good thing.
It was fresh and hot. Service was good. What you expect at a tourist joint.

I would come back.I would just keep to the simple recipes.

Ginger Bistro

Ginger Bistro, Surfside Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

Lets start with chit chat.....Disappointing.

1st... though the website said 11 AM when I arrived there was nothing showing if they were open.
If you are disabled or have a hard time walking, the front door, It is 35 yards away via a path.    ( Note only 2 handicapped space nearby).
The decor is very nice. They have the window with the ducks. BUT NO pork belly for sale , only at Ft. Myers.
The food. I order the Mongolian beef extra hot. It was 10 bucks, a small portion and even with the extra hot not very hot. 2.50 for soda with a refill. The dim sum is very good.
Food is good but NOT as good as the original.

This is a sanatized version of the one in Ft. Myers. ..DISAPPOINTING
If I wanted a floridian chinese place I would go to the other multi joints around.

I want I need the real deal Like the GINGER BISTRO in FT. Myers.
I guess I will make the drive there for now.

Eat at Joe's

Eat at Joe's, PCH, Redondo Beach, Ca. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.
I order a pancake sandwich for 10 bucks but it came self assemble required. See Pics.
The food is excellent, hot and tasty. They are willing to adjust the menu for your needs. The portions are a good size. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen was looking good,
Prices were reasonable. It is a few blocks close to the beach so the place was crowded. Breakfast service was friendly and considering the crowd the waiting was not that long. They are open early but close at 2pm.
They have 2 big sitting areas and the counter.
Parking is very limited.
So if in the area give them a try.

Wingnuts Pub & Grub

Wingnuts Pub & Grub, Del Prado Blvd, S Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on my food and chatter.

I am not a wing person...Especially since they do not give the  full wing any more.
Wingnuts give you the present day style  of wings plus a WHOLE LOT more.
Fried bologna sandwich, house made tater tots & deep fried twinkle to Name a few.
If they don't have it it has never been made yet.
I got the Philly cheese steak and Cole slaw. $11 bucks.

I must say it tasted good. The side, Cole slaw was only standard fare.
But the size of the buns were smaller than I wished for. Though I will applaud them. They did stuffed and fill them as much as possible.

Plus considering the 100 items & combination of food it is really staggering. The menu is reall TOO big....
If you cannot find something to eat. You are too picky.

Service was great.
