Schwabenbrunch, Cape Coral Pkwy. Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Chatter.
This is a cafe/bakery recently open by  German retirees.
I only bought bake goods. Apple strudel, black forest cake and another which I forget the name but was delish. (see pic later on in my blog)
While I was there I over heard German tourist.

The food. pleasant to the eyes  wonderful on the tongue.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Tamiami Trail, N., Naples, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.
Extraordinaire Meal !!
I went here for the Father's Day Brunch. It started at 1000 AM.
(I was so relieved it started early...I hate with a passion driving after 1 PM with these moronic floridians so call drivers.)

BUT it is worth the danger for this fine meal.

I got a gin & tonic. ( 12 bucks  ehhh) I order the tomahawk steak. Medium rare of course, a Caesar salad, biscuits,( its brunch) a side order of cream spinach, and a NY cheese cake with fresh blue berries and House made FRESH whip cream + a side cup of whipped cream.
The biscuits were hot flaky. MMMM.
Then the salad. I will say the only disappointment was my salad. I thought the cheese and prosciutto were sliced too big. Plus it just did not ring my taste buds.
The cream spinach did ring my bell. AAhhh.

Now the main attraction. The Tomahawk,
A Presentation !!!

They bring to your table, a holder of top of the world steak knives. ( see pic ) ie. German, Japanese, American.
And/or they present the steak on a cutting block that a Chef will slice for you. I chose my knife and sliced it myself.
The steak was well marbled and you could almost use a butter knife to carve it.
It melted on the tongue.
I was in CARNIVORE HEAVEN....if there was a heaven.
I barely had room for the cheese cake.
Cheesecake was marvelous & whipped cream was perfectly sweet.

This topped off an Extraordinaire meal.

My server Charles was 5 diamonds service. Plus I was greeted by the head honcho.
An Excellent time.

Leone's Italian Food & Specialty

Leone's Food & Specialty, SE 14th Ave., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

Pizza is a personal thing. I like Leone. Pepperoni and mushroom. A taste of each in every bite. Plus good when cold. It is not inexpensive. If you want cheap & fast go to a chain place.
Slices are available at times.

Everything is made from Leone recipe. She is 75 +.
Cannolis are not made til you order. They carry imported items. Plus each day is a different soup.
They had closed down but now are reopened for the last few months.

Be warned they are located in an industrial area of the Cape. Low traffic.

The biggy,   THEY ONLY TAKE CASH or check.    NO PLASTIC OF ANY KIND...

Service is kind but can be slow.

The Omelette Shop

The Omelet Shop, SW 16th Pl., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents of the food and chatter.

This is a breakfast joint. The omelet is the specialty. I wanted a waffle. Unfortunately it would have cost me 20 bucks, since it would be al la carte.

So I got their version of the western omelet. It was 9 bucks with large order of hash browns a slice of fruit and 2 large pieces of toast.

It was large and in charge a great meal. Large portion not unreasonable prices.

Service was good. Will be back.

Cafe You

Cafe You, SE 10th St., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Well the first Item I picked out ....was not available. So I was stuck with a chicken breast sandwich and soup. Plus I had a cup of coffee.

Well folks I cannot really see paying extra money for things that are labeled organic. I will come back to this. They have NO REAL certified effect on me!

I got a chicken ciabatta melt...8.25 with a tiny salad. and a cup of a carrot soup. Along with cuppa coffee.  All together about 15 bucks

They all tasted just fine...but not worth the extra money that my body cannot tell the difference.
Being an old very educated and informed fart. My body get by with preservatives...

Coffee you pay for per cup. $1.70 - 6 oz.....that can be pricey. Plus only the thing they have is brown crystal sugar. That is so wrong for modern day coffee drinkers. The cup itself is small. I could not put my finger through the cup handle.
There was no other option for chicken. No juicy chix thigh....just plain dried half of a breast on a bun that is larger than the meat item, hidden behind another sliced tomato not native to Florida & lettuce.

I believe my cuppa soup was carrot, It tasted just fine. In a weird bowel and not big for my appetite
The tiny green salad with 2 cocktail tomato , that are not native to Florida. Plus having to add and mix your own room temperature oil & balsamic vinegar together. Not really knowing the origins of this food....Balsamic vinegar can be aged like a fine cognac and cost up to $75 a bottle. Not the case here I am sure.

The server were very nice.Over all the food was excellent.  Just having to pay extra that really does not enhance your body...simply not worth the trip unless you R a sadist.

Uncle Angelo's Restaurant & Pizzeria

Uncle Angelo's Restaurant & Pizzeria, Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I am a cheap ole ba*tard this caught eye.

Chatter...Angelo's has brought early bird dining. $10 meals from 4PM til 530 PM, dine in of course, Entree, bread, soup or salad. 50% off wine and beer... The full entree not scaled down.

My meal.  House soup, hot fresh bread, olive oil, and clams with roasted garlic ( a lot) over linguine.
My cup of soup was a mix of beans and meatballs.  MMMMM.
Hot fresh bread a bit toasted with a olive oil to soak into the bread.
Fresh clams in a tons of roasted garlic ( ask for extra garlic) over al dente linguine. Ahhh garlic breath to savor the next day.

Staff attentive and wonderful.

NOTE; I have no interest or compensation in this or ANY review I do.They could not afford my price.

Lan Xang

Lan Xang, Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Ahhh another very good asian themed eatery in the area.
Most Asian restaurant in SWFL are a combination of different countries. This is no different.
This is a good thing.
I was able to order, thai, chinese and viet all in one sitting.
First a cold and sweet Thai  ice tea. Then Chinese style steamed dumpling (dim sum).
Then for main entree a curry pumpkin.
The curry pumpkin was so good. Thick, creamy and lots of veggies and meat.

They have a heat scale 1-5.       1 for all you wimpy Floridians and 5 that will make your eyeballs sweat.
I settle on number 4. It gave me breathing room to add more heat.
It was reasonable price and filled my tummy. Satisfying my taste buds.

Staff was nice and professional. I will be back for more.
