Crave, McGregor Blvd. Ft. Myers, FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Last time I was here I had a disappointing experience. So I was hoping it would change.
I order the MOST expensive item on the board. $20.00 Pot Roast..... (see pic)
What I got was a watery carrot soup with very small chunks of beef and a splash of mash potatoe.
Now what there was of beef was tender and tasted fine. The liquid has a taste of a wine. Big chunks of carrots. With a small amount of mashed potato.
I do not mind cooks taking a artistic brush to standard comfort food. I do not mind paying extra. (see pic)
But no flavor of bay leaf, garlic or onions. Standard stuff for this comfort food was tasted.
I did whine to my server ( aside from the bad food she did a outstanding job) She did only charge me $15 for the sandwich item version instead.
But this is outrageous.
If they do not know how to make, then do not. Plus I blame the customers who tolerate this.
I will never again spend my cash here. Would I go back? Not on MY dime....

Salty Papa Shrimp House
Salty Papa Shrimp House, McGregor Blvd., Ft. Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I order the FB special and jambalaya for home.
Wow the special is out of the world. Big shrimp fried perfect. The cole slaw outstanding. Along with the service. Cocktail sauce balanced just right. Fries so good.
The Jambalaya...I think is pricey. But is filled with shrimp, sausage and such. It was missing some green peppers part of the trinity in New Orleans... Also not as spicy as it should be. But floridians are BIG wimps when it comes to hot & spicy or sophisticated taste buds.
When you go asked for the FB special or any else....It is wonderful...

Ginza Japanese Restuarant
Ginza Japanese Restaurant, Cleveland Ave., Ft. Myers, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
If you love japanese food this is the place.AYCE for one price. Not made until you order it.
I found this to be fresh, tasty & they encourage to eat up.
Service was great. Also the largest eatery I have seen in Ft. Myers.

Soul Bowll Cafe
Soul Bowl Cafe, Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd., Ft. Myers, Fl, Here is some chatter and my 2 cents on the food.
Chatter... First off the staff is great and the sweet tea is wonderful. I was here on a Wednesday at 11 am.
Now the food. I order the smother pork chop, smother chicken (to go) and peach cobbler. You got a choice of white or yellow rice. Plus a corn muffin.
To be honest I was truly disappointed. Beside the tea the yellow rice was the best part of the meal. I make better smother chix or pork chop.
( Then for a white boy I have more soul than I can control)
It was 5 bucks & 8 bucks respectively. Just cooked in a plain tasting brown gravy. Pork chop on the tough side..... (I cook with onions, my pork chops falls off the bone. and mine tastes outstanding.)
... The corn muffin was just a tad bigger than a golf ball. Also very dry and just as hard.
The peach cobbler was terrible. It was lacking peaches, too much cinnamon, a tough crust ( I could barely cut the crust with a plastic knife.).. ;-( and a lot of liquid.
I was looking forward to a 5 star, soul food cuisine. NO not at this time.

Utopia Soul cafe
Utopia Soul Cafe, Dr. MLK,Jr, Blvd. Ft. Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Chatter... It has been 5 years since I have been here. They have been open closed then open again.
They are now open... It has changed. From being a full restaurant to a hole in the wall for working class folks.
BUT the food is still good and for me economical.
I got fish and fries with a soda, 5 bucks Taste good and cheap...You can get burger for the same price. They serve breakfast all day... :-).
Staff is wonderfull.
A couple of tips...Parking lot in rear, parking on street iffy. There is a hair salon next door called Utopia Salon.

Arby's
Arby's, Hancock Bridge, Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.
Feeling cheap & adventurous. So tried the gyro for 3 bucks and onion rings for 2.50.
You get what you pay for.Beef gyro is ok . For a real one pay more money and find a food truck
So much better.
Ahh these onion ring were Better than at most restaurant. I have tried at sit down eateries, 3 times the price not as good as Arby's..
So I guess depending on your wallet, what you wish to sacrifice for the taste buds.
I used the drive thru quick and efficient .

Hana Japanese Steak House & Sushi Lounge
Hana Japanese Steak House & Sushi Lounge, Hancock Bridge Parkway, Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
On a whim I walked on in. I order the Steak teriyaki Bento box. $10.50 (see pic). I got seaweed salad at additional cost. It was tremendous. Cold crisp and delish.
My steak was well marbled and melted in my mouth.Cooked to a perfect medium rare. All the other items were perfect. Though the wasabi could have been a bit spicier.
A outstanding meal and service.
