Coffee Haus

Coffee Haus, Coralwood Mall, Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the meal and chatter.Chit chat
I have seen this place for many blue moons. But no ad's.
My meals. A Toffee Coffee 4.5 & a western omelet. 7.99 with roll.
Now the coffee was sweet and good. Will get it again.
Western omelet 7.99... a bit pricey for the size. BUT....this has to be one of the best crafted omelet I have ever had here in SWFL. It was cooked well, fluffy, looked wonderful and tasted so good.
This is what a OMELET should be ALL the TIME.
So in this situation, being cheap as I am, it goes out the window.
KUDOS  to the chef  of Coffee Haus.
I will be back.
Oh yes service was great.

Olde Fish House Marina

Olde Fish House Marina, Pine island Rd., Matlacha, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on my meal and some chatter.
I order some crab cakes and the seafood combo.
Crab cakes. When I was presented with the cakes I thought they were burnt. But when I dig into them they were great. I forgot that as oil is used in cooking it turns dark. But still usable and has no problem as long as the chef knows what he is doing. Bravo!
Now the combo. Fish, excellent shrimp, fried clams, hush-puppy and Cajun steak fries. It was a marvelous meal.
But with a big problem. The cocktail sauce was REALLY old. I know, I have had old cocktail sauce in my own fridge. It was extremely thick. A nod to the server and situation fix.
Ah yes the cole slaw, fresh ,crunchy not overly mayo, very good.
Service up to Parr.
Will be back for more.

Mangia Bene Ristorante Italiano

Mangia Bene Ristorante Italiano , Coralwood Mall, Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on my meal and chatter.
I order the soup of the day. A egg and spinach in a broth. It reminded me of sweet & sour soup. Very good. BUT a little on the cool side . It need to be hotter.
Oh yes the hot, flaky and buttery rolls. Delish
I got the day special Osso Bucco. Pork medallions with pasta and sauce. The medallions melted in your mouth it was wonderful. Pasta cooked al dente. Just right
Service was wonderful.

Diamonds by Diane

Needed to replace a watch band and shorten a band.
After my GPS sent me in circles 2 times around Coralwood Mall, I found Diane on the street of Del Prado Blvd.
Though they were busy I was quickly helped. I had my issues taken care of. ( Note: They now photograph your items when dropped off for repair along with a description. Good security procedure.)
My item was fixed and other to be picked up later.
A good experience.

Popeyes

Fried chicken, Popeye's. This seems to be the best chicken around in SWFL. Everywhere else is dried or no flavor.
Well I was feeling lazy, had a coupon  & Popeye's 1.5 mile away.
So  I threw a shirt on and drove.
2 cars in front of me. But hey these folks were fast. 5 minutes for my 12 pieces of spicy chix, large red beans & rice, dirty rice plus 6 biscuits. I hate Popeye's  biscuits. They are only good if you eat right away with real honey or butter. Otherwise its hockey pucks for the birds.
20 bucks for this family package, usually 27.00
They do a good job here.

Good to eat now, some for manana and freeze for a week later.

Loving Hut

Loving Hut, Del Prado Blvd., S, Cape Coral, FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
First off this is enemy territory. NO meat. OBA OBA I was pleasantly surprise.  It was reasonably priced looked good and almost tasted like real food for real folks.
I had a thai tea. Sweet and thirst quenching. Then a appetizer of summer rolls deluxe. Very good but they fell apart when I bit into them.
My main entree was a recommendation Mongolian delight. Well it looked like real food. BUT it was tofu. The veggies were real, cooked properly. The brown rice ,which I really hate ,was very palliative here not too shabby. The fake meat was a bit smokey, had a fine texture and if you are require to eat this, a very good alternative
Plus a wannabe cheesecake. Great raspberry sauce, nice texture but you know it not real. It is missing that creamy flavor &  taste. Very passable.
Service was very good.
If I had to meet with a diet restrictive partner this would be a great place to go

.

Two Amigos Restaurant

Two Amigos Restaurant, Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral, FL., Here is some chatter and my 2 cents on the food. I was lured in by a the best drink in the Cape for 2017 on their anniversary. WOW what a sucker I am... Ok they didn't serve it til 2pm. I could live with that a computer thing for inventory.
BUT when I got the drink I was APPALLED. The drink was a sample drink like they give at 7-11.
In  SMALL plastic cup.. I was expecting a full size glass like in the ad picture. SHAMEFUL.
Now the the meal. I was give some warm salsa. Tasted like a step above a catsup. NOT fresh.
I order my chili rellenos, refried beans, rice and a salad. 2 pablo chili with stuffed ground beef/cheese.
Perfect for SWFL very bland and mediocre. Now I remember why I have not been here in a year.
Servers were nice. I always tip 20% not their fault bad food.
