Annies

Annies,  SE 47 St., Cape Coral, Fl.,  www.rholland63.blogspot.com....Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat.
The food. A cup of coffee & a Western omelet, ham, peppers, onions and cheese. With house fries and toast.( U get a choice of cheese)
Only 8 bucks.
This was a fabulous meal. Cheese inside and on top. No one else does this. Cooked to perfection.
Service was quick and attentive. My cuppa joe got refilled 3 times without asking
Chatter. They are known for the big as a plate pancakes. ( no waffles :-(    )
In season this is packed. A small lot in front BUT a large area behind in the alley.
This is old school eatery. If you have not been here.... WHY NOT? your loss.

41 Diner

41 Diner, S. Tamiami Trl., Fort Myers,Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
The food. Buttermilk fried chicken, stewed green beans, with soup and salad bar.
The fried chicken was a delight a bit sour buttermilk and a bit sweet with the honey. I was not too crazy about the stewed beans but they were fine.
Now the salad bar. Three different lettuces, 2 soups and a slew of condiments.Plus coleslaw, potato salad and macaroni salad. Something for everyone. The split pea soup was thick and flavorful.
The service was stellar. Unfortunately I could not eat desserts. Too full. It all looked fantastic.

Hurricane Grill & wings

Hurricane Grill & Wings, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and a rant of corporate restaurant chains.
The food. 10.99 for alleging 10 wings. First as far as taste they were ok. Nothing to write home about.
Kudos to my server for advising me to get it with the bones. She did a great job.
Now ... My rant.... No bread or rolls..They make you spend 6 dollars or more for an appetizer.
So you just sit here twinkling your fingers waiting for your entree.
Oh yeah there is no side dishes offered with these wings.
They Lie about the wings... Wings have 3 parts, the tip, drum and the other. They cut away the tips. ( I like those)  Then they split the rest of the wing in half and call each half a whole wing. How stupid are we as a whole of customers to accepts this. It is just wrong.
Plus they claim daily specials. There are no specials on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. NONE on Friday, kids eat free saturday, Sunday, 20% discount for us old fogies ages 60 and over.
Well that's my review. This was a 2 nd choice, my mom & pop eatery was closed and on vacation   :-(

El Toro Mexican Restaurant

El Toro Mexican Restaurant, SW Pine Island Rd./Burnt Store Rd, Cape Coral,Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chatter.
The food. Lunch special 4.99, Shredded beef enchilada, rice and beans. I must say they were very good. The thing I hated was I was charge a additional buck to have my hot peppers added inside.
I was given chips and salsa for free. The salsa is very mild. If you need to kick it up they will bring some habaneros sauce.   :-)
Be wary of any add ons!!!!!!
I got a margarita. it was frosty and tasty. 5.75... BUT From 2-6 PM its happy hours and they are 3 bucks.
They have a lunch special everyday with choice of shredded beef, ground beef, chicken and just cheese. Regular lunches are about 7.50 a big choice.
Dinner meals also but a bit more.
My server Nancy was excellent ,very attentive.

Matts Diner

Matts Diner, Fowler St., FT. Myers, Fl., Here my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.
As of this writing this eatery has only been open for approximately 30 days.

The food. A Philly cheese steak with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. A cup of soup plus french fries. 10 bucks. Oh yes sweet tea.
1st the house made soup, chicken noodle. This has to be the best chicken noodle I have had in a long time. The veggies are hand cut ,the broth flavorful. Plus none too salty. Wonderful.
French fries are seasoned and cooked just crunchy.
Cheesesteak on a 11-12 inch roll, ( I measured it) I thought the roll was a bit too soft. It tasted fine. You could tell the onions, peppers and mushrooms were all slice by hand. No uniformity. Add the melted cheese and you have enough for 2 meals. Excellent.
My server Nancy did a great job.

They serve breakfast all day and I believe the have a limited delivery service..
Give them a try!

Sweet tomatos

Sweet Tomatoes, Tamiami Trl, Fort Myers, Fl. Here is chatter and my 2 cents on the food.
Well the only reason this carnivore went here is because I got a $25 gift card for free.
I will say the staff was outstanding in helping me. It was very clean. Salad fresh.
The food. I had 3 soups. A zucchini , clam chowder and mushroom. The zucchini was fine since I had no comparison. The 'room and clowder. Just plain suck. It states all made from scratch. They need to get new recipes. Plenty of ingredients just no good flavor. The cheese pizza bland. Mac'n cheese watery. Spaghetti only veggies, NO GARLIC, horrible.
Well if you go against  nature and are a vegetarian you deserve this nasty stufff...

Thai Nawa Cusine

Thai Nawa Cuisine, Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food, chatter and a rant and a rave.

SEVEN SIEN NOODLE(Pad Woonsen)*...$10.95 Pan fried glass noodles with spicy garlic sauce, egg, chicken, shrimp, onion, green onion, cabbage, bean sprouts, carrot, bell pepper, and celery . This is marvelous thai entree. You may have it a bit spicy all the way to make your eyeballs sweat thai spicy.

The service is quick. Everything in made to order. No process stuff.
This place does no advertising. It has been here for 3 years. All word of mouth.

Rant... I wish they were closer to me.
