Brisket Brothers

Brisket Brothers BBQ and Smokehouse, College Parkway, FT. Myers,FL., Here is some chit chat and my 2 cents on the food.
Alright for all you true carnivore of beef...who crave a true manly meal, 7 days a week, This is your heaven on earth. (if there was a heaven) Located in the back of a large mall. TEXAS STYLE BEEF BRISKET. After 2 days of eating fish bait and skimpy south of the border food, I remember these tasty items.
My food. Texas Beef Brisket ( no wimpy shredded pig, though available) a nice portion of a sweet cole slaw plus a garlic pickle wedge... about 11 bucks. Beef brisket cooked low and slow then a nice portion, sliced thin and so very moist/ tender. House made shredded sweet in nature coleslaw.
If you want chicken, sausage, meatloaf or other items, They can hook you up. They also have 2 sauces if needed.

YellowFin Sushi & Saki Bar

YellowFin Sushi & Sake Bar, Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral, FL., Here is some chatter and my 2 cents on the food. This is what is billed as a asian fusion eatery. They mix and max different cuisine and a variety of foods. So you can get basic stuff or be experimental for your tummy. The decor is very new and bright. A nice setting. I found out what the difference between sushi and sashimi. Sashimi is fish just plainly cut with no rice.
A warning they make their own  wasabi... It made my eyeballs sweat. So Good. ;-) My food...
I got a ice cold japanese beer, simple but delish miso soup with tofu, a green salad with a ginger sauce and Chef's choice sashimi platter. Beside fermented ginger, the decorations of a green and beautiful cut of carrots made the platter pretty...I must say I enjoyed the entree raw fish and all. I wish I knew how to cut the carrots....BUT being a carnivore I was hungry an hour later. Though I finished my meal in its entirety.
So if you enjoy asian fusion this is a great place in the Coma to frequent.

Real Chocolate

Real Chocolate, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
As the title states its about chocolate. From Peru. The candies are beautiful and taste wonderful. They have a on line store so you can send them around the world. I got a very decent cappuccino.  They also offer sandwiches.
I got a beef sandwich. Peruvian style . It was 7 bucks or so. They also had 2 types of hot sauce which surprised me.( I love spicy ) They were good just not good for this beef sandwich.
The sandwich was fresh ,very tasty ,good overall. But really 7 dollars for a small 3 thin slices of meat with some grilled onions. The bun was just over the size of a dinner roll. You can get this at Walmart for 39 cents.  I do not know what it took to make the beef except it was too expensive. You can easily find a philly cheesesteak with much more  bang for your bucks. (With maybe a half of pound of beef.)
I search for taste, quality, quantity and affordability. This only had 2 of 4.
Note... service and folks were excellent.

Paradise Pizza

Paradise Pizza, Lafayette Ave., Cape Coral, FL, Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chatter.
Broasted chicken at a pizza joint. I had a single serving meal. About 9 bucks, 4 large/heavy pieces of chicken. fries and coleslaw. It was hot, crunchy tasty....BUT for me waaaayyyyy too salty. I added catsup and salt went away. I must say it was good. An alternative for my Popeye's if needed.
Pressure cooker... thats how this is made. They serve in different sizes. Cole slaw was fine . Fries too.
Tip... if you like your fries crunchy...cole slaw cold.. Then you MUST  eat it at the pizza joint otherwise it all goes sideways.
Oh yes I really enjoy the pizza here.

Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse, Dani Dr., FT. Myers,FL. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.
I went a different route this time. I order a medium rare 6  oz. top sirloin, green beans and mashed potatoes. 9 bucks. Bad choice. I usually always get prime ribs,
Ole the rolls are still delish. The greens beans were up to par. But everything nope.
They happen to drop and spill all of the mash taters, OK accidents happen. I can wait, they use real taters. The meat, so small and so chewy, mm  mm mm. It was cooked proper. Never more.  I got my mash taters. It was more like smashed peeled taters but chucks of potatoes not mashed. The brown gravy had to be better made.
Service was fine but this time around not a good meal

Ok Uk Fish & Chips

OK UK Fish & Chips, N. Cleveland Ave., North Fort Myers, FL. Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. Kings order ( 1/2 pound atlantic cod) of fish and chips.Along with gourmet malt vinegar from merry ole England.
Always hot, crispy and flaky fish. Outstanding stuff. Plus you get steak sized french fries.(chips)
If you desire authentic English fish and chips, this is one of only two in the area worth going for to fill the belly. The other is in the Cape.
Do not waste your tastebuds ,time or money going to the all you can eat fish fry. Come here and get the real deal. You will not regret it. If you have a sophisticated pallette take it from a basically carnivore.
Tip... DO NOT ....DO NOT... Have it to go... It will steam inside the bag and RUIN the crispy texture of the meal. Sit down and enjoy.
Service is great.

Blue Dog Bar & Grill

Blue Dog Bar & Grill, Matlacha, FL., Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.
First chit chat. My M.O. is to go at lunch time when the eateries just open to evaluate the food. 95% of the time its only me or 1-2 others tables. BUT this place was different. There was 5-6 tables plus me filled. Why I do not know!!

The food. I had a cup chowder $5  and a mahi mahi with black beans and rice $20 bucks. First the chowder. It was not clam chowder.. It tasted different. Lots of seafood of which I could not identify.
It was ok but not too thrilling overall. Snow Clam chowder is better.
The mahi mahi.  Never had it before... never again. It is just not worth the money.(20 bucks ) I will spend my coinage on beef. The black beans had no flavor. ( My wifey is from Brasil, they make black beans, I know black beans.) The yellow rice, no flavor at all. Mahi mahi tasted ok. The mango chutney actually gave it a kick. Not enough chutney. But really for the portion size and lack of flavor never again.
Still not sure why all the people. After I got home I was hungry again. Never More.
Service was excellent over all.
