IchiYummy

IchiYummy, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat. All you can eat sushi ,teriyaki, hibachi, and sashimi  for 13 bucks at lunch time.
The Food. I must say the sushi was fantastic even for a carnivore. The noodle and shrimp dish was outstanding.
I loved the idea that portions are SMALL... That means you can be adventurous and try fresh variety of items. I tried a octopus sushi . I hated it. But I never have had octopus...never more. LOL
They give you a sheet , then you pick and choose whatever you want. Including dessert.
Service was outstanding. I was encourage to try as much as I could eat. I did.
This a great idea for americans. You eat as much as you can without wasting food.
Oh yes, there is no doggie bags...Plus if you do not finish the sushi that you order, they charge you a fee of 75 cents per piece. A good idea to stop waste.
Please stop by.

Popeyes

Popeyes, Hancock Bridge Parkway, Cape Coral, FL. I was in the mood for fried chix and being lazy. So off to POPEYES. Of course someone is in the drive thru lane. As most floridians are lazy.
I got my order of spicy chix, red beans/ rice , and dirty rice. Oh for advertising they name it Cajun rice. BUT true foodies and true chefs it is DIRTY rice.
Got home dug into the food excellent.

KFC

KFC,Hancock Bridge , Cape Coral, FL.,My 2 cents on the food and chatter. Chit chat. I was feeling lazy, cheap and adventurous. I have been bombarded with the 5 buck meal. So since I never have had the pot pie I decided to give it a try .
Medium Pepsi, ( the true nectar of the goods ), no ice, a chocolate cookie and chicken pie. Plus be lazy like most Floridians. I took the drive thru... Gave my order , waited in line for only 5 minutes or less, swiped my card and home in 7 minutes or less.
Pepsi excellent, pie very good, large chunks of carrots , pieces of taters, chunks of white meat chicken. I am not a fan of white meat but it was fine. Nice gravy, but too wet as my wifey would state. Also a bit too salty for me. Not a big cookie but a decent cookie But hey 5 bucks to fill you up pretty good.
As I said serve was quick.

Time to Eat

Time to Eat, Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL., Ahh a grumbling in my tummy, 2 cents on the food and chatter. The food. This is Dining at its best. Grilled lamb chops, riced potato, and some veggies.
My wife told me I would hate the lamb chops...She was so wrong...Grilled lamb chops to a perfect medium rare, with a wonderful sauce. Potatoes done with a ricer, so smooth and tasty. Broccoli cooked to just tender. Lets not forget clarified butter and in house made hot & flaky crescent roll.
Service was outstanding.
This is DINING...not buy and fly meal time...If you wish for a true culinary meal you MUST come here!!
Though located in a strip mall,( what good place in the Coma , is not ) Come get your appetite fed.
You will not regret it.

Ruby Tuesday

Ruby Tuesday, Santa Barbara Ave., Cape Coral, FL, Here is my 2 cents and some chatter. I was lured here by a free appetizer and a salad bar. Even a devout carnivore needs a bit of greens once in a while. First my appetizer. Thai style spring rolls. This is NOT SPRING ROLLS. Spring rolls are in a rice wonton type roll. I will say it tasted just fine along with the sweet sauce. BUT SPRING ROLLS ARE NEVER FRIED...I chose spring because they are healthier, taste better and a better texture.
So whoever in the upper management decided on this item NEED to go to school or Thailand. Or maybe a local Thai restaurant and find the real deal.
The salad bar... I must say all the items were fresh and of good quality. I enjoyed the different dressing along with the many items...AHHH the pesto salad was good...but the small tomatoe needs to go...The other 2 salads just were plain nasty no flavor in one. The other was just like a bad mash potatoes.. flavorless.
Service was fine. The manager stop by... I told them of my concerns.
So if seeking a good salad bar this is the place.

Butch's Famous Burgers,Chili, and Dogs

Butch's Famous Burgers,Chili, and Dogs, Weavers Corner, N. Fort Myers, FL.,  My 2 cents on the food and chit chat. OBA OBA, another great and inexpensive eatery comes to N. FT. Myers. I believe 2 buck hotdogs and 4 or so burgers. Anyway the burger was outstanding I loved the crispy onion strings. Hot Dogs are also good to go.But the chili is an acquired taste. It is spicy but it has a cinnamon in it. It is cincinnati style . Not my flavor.
Folks are great.. It is only open as of this writing 11 AM to 3 PM. Longer hours soon to come.
So if you are sick of over price dogs and chain burgers give them a try.

Nomiki's Plakka Greek Restaurant

Nomiki's Plakka Greek Restaurant, McGregor Blvd., Ft. Myers,Fl., My 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. The Food. I order a greek salad of course with anchovies. I also tried what was called a Greek chow mein??? Never heard of it. I had it with pork. It had olives, cheese on top, tomatoes. It was fresh and good. I am a not big fan of greek food, but, I was a happy trooper. Service and prices were just right.
