The River Station Deli, Palm Ave, North Fort Myers, FL A growling in my tummy and some chatter.
Food. I order a Italian sub with a side of house made potatoe salad.. Well folks the salad just suck. It was potato, mayo and bits of celery. NO spices no nothing. Just too much mayo. Plus not a big serving. My sandwich. I wanted spicy. The only thing spicy was some pepperoni. On a sad very white bread roll. Some meat provolone and some grassy looking stuff. All for 8 bucks.
Never again.

La Corte Courtyard Garden Bistro
La Corte Courtyard Garden Bistro, Lafayette St., Cape Coral, Fl. A growling in my tummy and chatter.
CHATTER...I was expecting superior food . I got zilch. 2 stars out of 5 stars, Pretentious.
First my server did a excellent job,Nicole. Nothing wrong here.
Food. Only 3 entrees listed at the lunch time menu.. burger,$19 with extras at additional charge. A Brie on sourdough bread,$13.. NOT from the city that defines sourdough bread( San Francisco), And a quiche of the day. $13
OH yeah NO quiche.......
Soda for 2.79 but refills included.
I got a seafood soup, 8 bucks. It did have a bit of chunks of fish, one medium size shrimp which I needed to use my fingers to dig out and eat( tail still on) Taste ,NO. even after adding fresh grind pepper. I got a bigger and better portion from Progresso soups.
A Caesar salad, 11 BUCKS. First it was not properly chilled. Then NOT properly made. This is supposedly made at the table with raw eggs.. With the anchovies mix inside . WRONG I like a lot of dressing but even for me it was too much. It was drowning in a dressing.
So about 25 of hard earned dollars down the drain not including tip.
Nicole was the best part of the experience.
Such a pretentious place. I expected on the first day of opening, per news article. It would be 5 stars.
I was so WRONG.
Note there was a Rolls Royce parked in front. LOL

Mexico Lindo Restuarant
Mexico Lindo Restaurant, Del Prado Blvd., S., Cape Coral, FL., A growling in my tummy, 2 cents on the food and chatter.
Lets talk food. The chips were fresh out of a vendor bag. Too uniform..The salsa, mmmm... When it is homemade there are usually 3... mild, spicy tomatillos, and red spicy. This tasted bottle made... bland for floridians.
I always go for the chili rellenos. Refried beans, rice and guacamole. It was just a average dish. Nothing special . The kind you find in most eateries. This was not a grandmother dish. If so they have diluted the uniqueness of it.
8 bucks for a no name Tequila Sunrise. Plus I did not have the joy of the swirl for my sunrise. This is robbery. But this seems to be a common practice in Florida. I guess we pay for those commercial on TV.
Observations. The staff and Sheila, my server did an outstanding job. Place was very new bright and gaudy as is the nature of the mexico culture. Quality of food was fine. But really an 8 page menu.Too much. Too many american dishes, burrito, chimichanga etc. (Both were create in 1950's in San Francisco, Ca. in the Mission District) How do I know??? I cook and I am foodie for over 30 years in the San Francisco Bay Area.

nevermind
Nevermind Awesome Bar & Eatery, Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral, Fl., Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat.... A bit of chit chat first... This is a bar first (no smoking when I was there) and a eatery 2nd. It was very dark. Now the chow...WOW... if there was a heaven...but there is no heaven.. but if so this is the hamburger that would be served... Its pricey at fifteen bucks. My angus beef patty was cooked to a perfect medium rare, cheese melted gooey, and place between butter grilled/toasted slices of bread. Sliced in half, then put on it side into a tomato paste base with a coffee espresso tongue wagging sauce. There was no need for ketchup, mustard, salt or pepper or any other condiments. It was outstanding & a tad messy so lip smacking good. ....Served along side were thinly sliced fries. I hate thin french fries. AHHH again a party for my mouth. The fries (similar in cutting like steak and shake) These were coated with hand grated parmesan cheese along with sprinkling of a truffle oil. MMMM good
Chit chat.. the cheapest item on the menu is 12 bucks. Though claiming to be a full bar there was no brandy or cachaca available. It is very dark inside. Service can be slow but efficient. 4 parking spaces in front ...3 in rear along with 1 disable. A parking lot was 30-40 yards behind the joint .So if great food is on your mind this is the place to make a special trip . Put this on your bucket list

Perk and brew
Perk & Brew, Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral, Fl, A growling in my tummy and some chatter.
Forgot I had some Group on tix. Went back to give a taste. MMM good the big meat ball in the bread bowl, Topped with cheese. Still worth chowing down.... Had a tasty sweet tea to wash it down.
Glad to see a local place still up and running. Good place to meet for coffee or such. Keep up the excellent work.

10 Twenty Five
10 Twenty Five, Santa Barbara Blvd. Cape Coral, FL. A growling in my tummy and some chatter.
Lets talk food. They served up Bangers & smash, with a cold draft and a mistaken freebie appetizers.
I have never had bangers. I did not know what to expect.( no after effects though hours later) Ah the sausage was cooked in a beer concoction. A mild flavor and a very well cooked casings. It was good. The potatoes were creamy and chunky ,hence , smashed potatoes. With a beer type gravy.... 11 bucks. Over all good. Just what they eat here in Florida. Wimpy flavored food. My draft was excellent ice cold.
By a mistake I sampled a appetizers. It was a soft pretzels with a house made cheese dipping sauce. I found this to be very good. But again wimpy in flavor for me.
Folks who read my reviews know I like my food the way I like my women Hot & Spicy.
Overall a good experience , staff was excellent and a owner came by to ask my first impressions.
I believe this will be a local hang-out hopefully for years to come..
