KJ Grill, Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, FL, Growlings of the tummy and some chatter. I did not know there was another better than decent steak place in Ft. Myers. Lets start with the good stuff. I was given a hot loaf of bread with butter
. This has been missing from most eateries. It was great. I got a very fresh caesar salad.
My side was a delish cream spinach. I also got what they called a florida cut rib eye steak. Florida cut is just a marketing thing. It means larger in size. The steak was just a shy of my medium rare. BUT... It has to be one of the best steaks I have had in florida. It stood on its own merit & could almost be cut with a butter knife. It was flavor galore.
Kim , did a outstanding job as my server. Answered all my queries.
NOW the bad stuff. My entree was 26 bucks... Not unreasonable for the quality of food and how it tasted so good.
But really paper napkins... so tacky.
My side should be a bit larger in quantity.
My drink.. $10.00 for a shot of hennessy and 2 ounces of coke. Really I felt ripped off. I could have
bought a 750ml bottle of Hennessy brandy and 2 liters of coke with a bag of ice. For the same price.
This is a great food place. Chic. Do not go down the hill of being chesney and cheap.
Over all it should be 5 stars but this case 3.75... I will give you 4 stars.

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery, good for a chain
Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral, FL., Growlings of the tummy and chatter. I was in the mood for simple fare. So what better place than a chain. The entree ,meatloaf-middle america cuisine. The meat loaf was tasty with a brown gravy. The green beans cooked with a tad of onions and bacon. Plus mash potato as a side. All simple but excellent for the simple taste of middle america. Of which I grew up until 18. Then drafted and experience the world.
I also had chocolate eclairs, cinnamon roll and muffins. European and american pastries are so much better than ANY south of the border sweets.
The host and my server did a wonderful job.
TIP... Be advise the main entrance & address is on Cape Coral Parkway next to a hotel. The parking and access to the eatery is 25 yards behind the building itself. There is a long disable ramp to the front door..

Cafeteria El Chocolate, twist on cubano
Cafeteria El Chocolate, SE 47th Terrance, Cape Coral, FL.,Growlings of a tummy and chatter.
CHATTER... This place will soon begin selling chocolate items. As of now its general cuban stuff.
Food... I adventure out and tried the cuban ham and cheese sammie.(cubano)
I found this sandwich had a different zing to it. It has the regular ingredients BUT... they add a slice of serrano ham. If you are a gourmet cook or true foodie you will know of what I speak.( If not go to your library or cook book and find out. )Anyway this bit of a twist, I thought, gave the common sandwich a subtle but needed tang for my taste buds . Ahhh not too shabby over all.
I was also told of a cuban pizza to be on the menu list.
Anyway folks are nice ....service quick

Heavenly Hoagies R good
Heavenly Hoagies, SE 47 Terrance, Cape Coral, FL., Growling for the tummy and some chatter. If you like thick hoagies sandwiches, This is the place. The Italian hoagie 8 inches long, is 2 inches thick with meat and any or all whatever you wish. Eat in house or take it on the run.
Great sandwich good folks.

Paradise Deli & Grill
Paradise Deli & Grill, Surfside Ave, Cape Coral, FL., Growling in the tummy and chatter. I was yearning for some meatloaf. Never had anyone else meat loaf but mine. So that's what I got plus 2 sides. I thought I was getting mash potato and a veggie. I was wrong. I got a very innovative potato dish that was fried with LOTS of garlic. Very outstanding. The other side was carrots, broccoli and squash. The carrots and broccoli was only cooked half way. Crunchy. Healthy for you. Even though I expected cooked through and I hate broccoli (except in chinese fare). This was very good.. Now the meat loaf. eehhh it tasted ok but not as moist as my own. Not enough onions garlic or italian seasoning. Plus I do not heat it up on a grill. But you win you lose.
Service was great. I will be back again.
Asia Buffet is okay.
Asia Buffet, Del Prado Ave., Cape Coral, FL., Growling of my tummy and some chatter. The food. As with all buffet you either like some stuff or you do not. I was surprised as to the large amount of choices. Some good some not. The had a hibachi, there was sushi and a a dessert section. The idea is to make a minimum of 3 trips and sample what looks good to you. I tried the fried chicken, it was fair better than most buffet. I saw beef stew but passed on it.
So if uncertain on what you wish for give them a try. Or you can order standard thing off the menu.
