Twisted Vine, good food good ambiance

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat.  The food was fabulous. I was there for a Sunday brunch. A breakfast menu and lunch menu is available. I had the Bistro brunch.
3 eggs, yukon taters, muffin, and canadian bacon(ham) It was cooked to my instructions and hot when delivered.  My server ( Kevin I believe )was excellent. Very attentive. I must say the ambiance was superb. I am more for the food than the surroundings. But here was a jackpot. Elegant.
So I would definitely return

Subway, On Cape Coral Parkway,W, good veggie sammie

Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat. First the food. The only reason I go here is for the Veggie footlong. This is the only sandwich chain shop that always has fresh veggies to make a sandwich. Chain or local I have found this is the best. They add whatever you like you get a choice of fresh bread and cheese. I am a carnivore by nature but once in a while my body says veggie time. So I head for the closes Subway.
I had a 1 off coupon for a footlong. The clerk was nice to tell me keep the coupon. A veggie footlong is 5.50. It is better to use it for a meat sandwich. Great frugal advise.
I was in and out quickly and my footlong was delish.  ( Footlong sounds like I am in a soft porno video   ;-)  LOL   )

When needing those veggies come here for sure.

Mermaid Garden Cafe, no mermaid, no garden, a organic healthy place for yuppies

Here is my 2 cents on the food with chit chat. Lets start with the food.

Organic eggs are highlighted here. I had a dish that had chorizo, kale and grilled eggs. I never heard of grilled eggs. I like trying new stuff.  I was disappointed over all. The eggs were basically cooked sunny side up to a medium. A bit runny.. That's ok I like eggs over easy. The eggs did taste different. If you ever had eggs straight from the chicken from the nest, That the best way to describe them. The kale was saute like you would do spinach.  I guess a healthy thing for a breakfast. Now the chorizo. I am sorry that was just plain sucky. It was not spicy as warned nor no flavor. Being from California (and I have been in Brasil) I have had real chorizo from Mexico & Portugal type. It was tough and not enough fat. Fat is where the flavor is at. The coffee was good but not outstanding.  They offered more raw sugar than the white refined stuff.  Also there was no salt and pepper shakers. They had little containers with lids & a baby size spoon.  I was also given small slices of toasted bread with a guava spread and butter to add. They tasted like it had a bit of garlic. That's ok by me. Or maybe it was my pallette today. Anyway I liked it.

They had no mermaids or garden to be seen. There were shelves of tea pots and tea cups galore. It was hard to find. NO sign except on the main sign of the complex. This is called The Atrium. It is basically a office complex. The Mermaid is located at the end of the complex next to a US Post Office. The personnel was very nice & did a great job.
So in conclusion if you are watching closely on the food you are eating this is good for you. But for just regular folks I would pass on by. Sorry

India Palace, good for fort myers, sucks for indian food

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. First the good stuff. If you ask for hot sauce the HOT sauce is really hot. I went for the buffet. Over all it was mediocre at best. I come from San Francisco Bay area,...Fremont,CA. They have a very large Indian population. In turn many eatery. So I know and have experienced GOOD Indian food. This is NOT. The food is just ok. You would not find many expats from India here.

Chit Chat. They were 10 minutes late in opening. I seated myself. No one ask me if I wanted anything to drink. No menu was given. I did get water. The folks were cordial enough. The place was like a morgue in silence. Though there was 8 other patrons. I did not like this I will not be back unless  someone pays for my meal.  Buffet is about 12 bucks with free water.

Cork Soakers, Deck and Wine Bar

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat. Well I thought I was going to have a choice for a breakfast and lunch. It was a Sunday and they said brunch.  Ehhh WRONG. It was a lunch menu. But that's OK. I order the Garlicky Mussel.
It sounded good. It was good. The mussels were fresh and cooked to a tender perfection. They came out of the shell with ease and melted in my mouth. The soup was base with tomato, chorizo, and some peppers. OH lets not forget the garlic. Plenty of garlic but not over whelming. It also said crusty bread. Two things wrong here. The bread was a bit burnt and there was not enough of it. ( see my pictures ) I could have ask for more and less burnt bread but I was ok with it. Over all a very tasty and filling entree.

Now some chit chat. There is no notable handicapped parking. There is parking on the street a private lot on the side and a lot across the street. This is really more of a bar. The outside dine area allows smoking. Lots of TV's around and LOUD MUSIC. On a Sunday morn I expected a softer atmosphere. There was a notable amount of Bloody Mary's being served.
Any way the food was great. Plus from other patrons reviews the menu has more than one outstanding items. I shall return. 1 more thing the service and folks such as my Kylie were great.
Thank You.

Rinconcito Catracho Latin Grill, Best fish tacos ever

Here is my 2 cents on the food and some chit chat, I am a carnivore... I love meat. But someone told me to try fish tacos.  ehhh. I did here.
These were outstanding. Plus the housemade sauce was heated heaven. The fish was cooked just right the lettuce or cabbage was seasoned all so well. The side of yellow rice was fluffy and so tasty. The refried bean were mmm   mmmm good.
I also had some type of raspberry drink.
I bought extra and took a grande home.
Chit chat. This is located on a side street in a strip mall/industrial area. Very non descript. Open for Breakfast till nine PM. Daily...Divey from outside but very nice inside. Service is prompt and excellent.
So if you are into fish tacos come here. I will. I will be back for other items too.

Englund Deli II, Best sub for the frugal and hungry Man

Here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.  The food... If you have a hankering for a REAL sandwich that fills the carnivore inside YOU must eat here. The Italian, Meatball & cheese, or the hot roast beef & cheese.
If you are frugal person for a 7 bucks 7 inch sandwich this is the place. FORGET _ubway,_rby or _immy  _ohn. You get 2 inches thick of meat on a fresh roll with whatever fixins you need. BUT if just throw money away and are in a hurry go to those nasty chain places if you must. Also try the anti-pasta ...meat , a bit of peppers, small black olives. NO veggies, MEAT.
I will admit you need to call ahead or be patient when waiting for this tummy delight. But it is ohhh so worth the wait. All fresh all good. It is in a small divey place. In the corner of a strip mall. Worth the drive from any place in The Coma.( Cape Coral)...Except it is so worth.
