I went here expecting a sit down joint.. It is primary a take out place. Though there are 2 tables inside and 2 outside. .....The food. The sides, collards greens, delish, cajun beans and rice ....good. I had rib tips. Coated in a sweet bbq sauce. mmm, The wings. I am not fond or a expert at wings. But I must say there were pretty good. Over all I was a happy trooper and would go back again.
Staff was outstanding.
So give them a shot.

Tropical Smoothie cafe

Oh joy another chain eatery in the The Cape......... First food. Pricey food. 7 bucks for the so call Ultimate club. Mind you it was fresh tasted fine. BUT for a sandwich on a 5 inch X 5 inch bun.( See pic).  and a small bag of tater chips, what the hel! Where is my meat ...  WHERE IS THE ULTIMATE! This is not worth my hard earned dollar.
The smoothie 5 bucks for basically a 7-11 fruitie slurpee..
If you have the finance to throw away your money OK.  I am going to stick with a mom & pop local eatery. Support my neighbors/community . Get a real meal.  Do not

give to a corporation.

Steak and Shake

Steak and Shake, Pine Island Ave, Cape Coral, FL., A growling in my tummy and some chatter.
Well on a weekly basis I get coupon here. I broke down and went.
I ordered a lemonade

and a Double burger with bacon/ cheese and fries. 4 bucks for the burger and fries. I love those big steak fries. But here you get the small shoestring style fries. They were good and tasty. Crispy outside moist inside. Good potato flavor. The big surprise was the burger. Two correctly cook beef patties well done and very moist. Enough bacon to cover the patties Plus lo an behold lots of cheese. It seemed more cheese than other places I have gone to. Outstanding. Every bite was cheese filled, bacon filled and beef filled.

A carnivore delight....
Steak and Shake is another chain where you love it or hate. I have come to love it.
My server Judith, did a good job.
So dig up the coupons and give them a try.  You may be pleasantly surprised.   :-)

Caribbean Flair International grill

Caribbean Flair International Grill, N E 3rd Ave, Cape Coral, FL., A growling of my tummy and some chatter. Hey MoN... This has to be the BEST jerk chicken, peas & rice and veggies I have had in a blue moon. The chicken was grilled to perfection, spicy and so very moist...( be aware you floridians wimps it is Authentic Jamaican cuisine. Plus they have toned it down for you all) The rice and peas were a delight on the tongue. The veggie was grill with such robust flavor ,you crave for more.
Chatter... Be notified as of this writing they have just relocated  from Ft. Myers Beach. Such a good idea. So they are having a few issues with equipment as such.
Ah but seek them out. If you have  always wanted Jamaican food but could afford the ticket drive here. The only things missing is the Overproof Rum, Red Stripe Beer, and maybe Blue Mountain Coffee,( Japanese has that tied up)    :-(

The Cafe

The Cafe Restaurant, Coralwood Shopping Center, Cape Coral, FL A growling in my tummy and some chatter. This is a reuben place. But I went the opposite and hit a veggie dish. I got a spinach pie. Made with phyllo dough and oooohhhhh so tasty. Plus olives ,cheese, and a peppers. For being cow cuisine it was very good. And instead of salad, chicken soup with stars, house made ...Creamy and smooth.
Service was wonderful. For a breakfast or lunch you cannot go wrong here.

The Mix Grill

The Mix Grill, Palm Beach Blvd, Ft. Myers, FL., A growling in my tummy and chatter. I have had this marked for a while. When I got there I had my server recommend shrimp scampi. Large shrimp plenty of garlic. Well done.
They also offered broasted chicken. I got a small  box to go. Pretty tasty.
Server was excellent. Food good. Place appeared clean.
AHHH  I was there on tuesday around 1145 AM. They serve all day and a event was schedule.
I was curious but did not ask. There was no one there. MMMMMM just an observation.

Mona Lisa

Mona Lisa, Santa Barbara Blvd, Cape Coral, Fl. A big growling in my tummy & chatter.
Chatter first. I was in a rush home.Irritated after paying $900 to have repairs done on my car and not have my car for 1 day and 6 hours. It was 2pm on a Tuesday. I saw the special of $8.99 cheese pizza at Mona. I hate just cheese pie. So I order mushroom & pepperoni, 14 inch, 13.95 pie. I was starving ,in a rush ,they showed me the pie, I grabbed and drove home.
Pie was still hot and tasted very good. Then shock set in. I was tasting a good pie BUT...WHERE WAS MY MUSHROOMS?????? Had pepperoni had cheese but WOW They were CHEAP VERY CHEAP on mushrooms. At 2 PM I was the only customer and told them no rush.
(I saw mushrooms for 3 bucks for half of a pound at  W-D whole). The ' room's on mine was BARELY an ounce.
I had no intention of writing a review. EXCEPT when you charge me 3 bucks FOR additional items
YOU NEED TO GIVE WHAT I PAID FOR.

Lenny's, Grill & Subs

Lenny's Grill and Subs, Coralwood Shopping Ctr., Cape Coral, Fl, Here is my growling in the tummy and some chatter. Well I went for the so called world famous 10 inch philly cheesesteak. I must admit the bake on site bread is not too shabby. The sandwich tasted as good as a 12 inch cheesesteak I had in San Francisco, so many moons ago. The only different is this is more pricey. $ 8.79 plus smaller.

It was good. Staff was excellent.

So if in the carnivore mood, give them a try.

M & A Caribbean Restuarant

M & A Caribbean Restaurant, Del Prado Blvd., S, Cape Coral, FL. A growling in my tummy and chatter.
Chatter. I love local owned eatery. I love the small business. I always give the benefit of the doubt. But as in baseball 3 strikes you are out.
Ox tail and peas & rice. I know how to braise it and cook bean and rice. Simple and long time to make....
This just plain suck. I had to gnarl the meat off the bone. It should have fell off the bone. The beans no flavor under cooked.
Bottom line... Try another place... I am done. I will wait until some other person has the courage to venture here. Sorry!!!!
